My Niche Blog Strategy

You probably have read about niche blogging for a few hundred times online, but I’ll just share it anyway. One of the most important thing that you need to put into consideration is, you want the blog to get a good amount of daily visitors while maintaining a good search engine ranking on Google. Some people have a better way to find their website traffic but so far I rely on Google to get the visitors for my blogs.

I’ll probably be creative and look for an easier option to get my visitors in near future, but for now, I’ll just focus on doing keyword research, building more blogs and building backlinks for these blogs.

The first thing that I always do when starting a new niche blog is, keyword research with Google AdWords Keyword Tool. Some people prefer to use advanced tools like Market Samurai or any other tools out there, but I stick with Google AdWords keyword tool because it’s available freely online and I only want to know if the keyword match the requirement that I have. Some people might think it is unnecesary but I’ll always go for exact long tail keywords that has at least 4k monthly searches. Some keywords terms might have more than 20k searches when you put choose to go broad.

The next step, you will need to find out if the niche market is competitive or not. I don’t usually bothered with these figure but most people will tell you to go for a niche market if it has less than 100k competition.

After you’re done with the competition analysis, you should proceed to buy a domain name. Before this, I’ll just go ahead and come up with a domain name that has some generic wording in them and proceed with the purchasing. But nowadays, I have been quite selective and go for domain names that has an exact match. I only go for .com, .net and .org because these are the 3 tlds that has this exact match bonus when you’re trying to rank for the term on Google.

I rely a lot on Google but I’ll probably find a solution on how to drive more visitors to my websites in future.

There are still plenty of niche markets out there and I think you just need to spend more time to do keyword research if you really want to go for any niche.

That’s it for today. I hope you’ll find the post to be useful. Please feel free to spend more time doing your research and learn about niche blogging. I’ll be happy to listen to your opinion.
